Using the site

Poetry Connection is free to read. You may link to any page without asking, and quote from the site for teaching, study, criticism and review.

The poems and translations

Many poems on the site are in the public domain. Some poems, and many translations, are still in copyright; those rights remain with the poets, the translators and their publishers, and the texts are here for reading, study and discussion. Don’t republish a poem or translation that is still in copyright without the rights holder’s permission.

Takedown requests

If you hold the rights to a poem or translation on the site and want it removed, contact us with the poem’s address, the work it comes from, and how you hold the rights. We review every request and reply promptly.

Comments

Comments are read before they appear. We don’t publish contact details, advertising or abuse, and we may shorten, edit or remove any comment. You keep the rights to what you write; by commenting you let us publish your comment on the site, with your name, date and country. Please comment only on your own behalf and don’t post anything you don’t have the right to share.

No warranty

We work to keep the texts accurate, but the site is provided as it is, without any warranty. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for loss or damage from using it or from relying on its content, or for the content of other websites we link to.

Law

These terms are governed by Swedish law, and disputes are settled by Swedish courts, unless the law where you live gives you other rights as a consumer.

If these terms change, we’ll update them here and change the date at the top.
